Search Duluth Released Inmates
Duluth released inmate records are managed through the St. Louis County Jail, which processes all bookings for people arrested by the Duluth Police Department. Duluth is Minnesota's fourth-largest city, with around 90,000 residents, and sits along the western tip of Lake Superior in northeastern Minnesota. The Duluth Police Department operates a temporary holding facility for short-term holds but transfers all arrestees to the St. Louis County Jail at 100 North 5th Avenue West for extended detention under the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

Minnesota Public Records Law
Under Minnesota Statute 13.82, law enforcement agencies must make arrest data public from the time of booking. Public data includes the date, time, and place of arrest, the charge, and the arrested person's name, age, sex, and last known address. It also includes whether the person was held or released. Booking photos are public data but can be withheld temporarily during active investigations.
Most corrections and detention data is classified as private under Minnesota Statute 13.85. Exceptions include arrest data and aggregate statistics. Medical, psychological, and financial records from correctional facilities are protected. Criminal conviction data is public for 15 years following discharge of sentence. These rules apply to the St. Louis County Jail, the Duluth Police Department, and all other law enforcement agencies in the state.
